Renovations at Mapleton and Tamborine

Date Added: 29/12/2009

December has seen extensive renovations undertaken at two of QCCC’s conference and camping venues in South East Queensland. Part of QCCC’s ongoing commitment to continual improvement, the renovations add to the attractiveness of its two largest conference facilities at Mapleton and Mount Tamborine on the Gold Coast hinterland.

Mount Tamborine’s accommodation has all been freshened with a venue-wide painting program implemented as well as some modifications and improvements to the retreat house at the CMS site.

Mount Tamborine will have its best face on ahead of the annual CMS Summer School which caters to several hundred conventioneers.

Mapleton’s Harrison Lodge has had a refurbishment with older wooden cupboards and shelving stripped from the buildings and replaced with new and functional stainless steel shelving, increasing the floor space and functionality of each room.

The courtyard in the main building has also received a large swathe of shade cloth, cooling the area in summer and significantly enhancing the ambience of an area regularly used for meals and recreation.

The refurbishments continue QCCC’s commitment towards making its three facilities a sought after destination for school camps, conferences and retreats. With sites on the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and inner Brisbane, QCCC can cater to a wide variety of needs and formats.
